Stanley Charles George Flack was born in Burwell on 17th June 1906 (Newmarket Q3-1906 3B:475), baptised in St Paul's, Cambridge on 14th November 1906, son of Henry William and Eliza FLACK (née BROWN) sometime of Newnham, Burwell.

1911 census...Aged 4 he was at 66 Albert Street, New Street, Cambridge with his father Henry William FLACK [35] house painter born Huntingdon; his mother Eliza [36] born Burwell; sisters Lily Maud [10] and Constance May [1] and brother Stewart Rowland [8], all three born in Burwell.

He married Kate Muriel MARSHALL [10-5-1911] of Bottisham in Q4-1936 (Cambridge 3B:1283). In the 1939 register she was at "Holmlea", Bell Road, Bottisham. She married William H.BYRON in 1947.



His death was registered in Northampton Q2-1941 3B:150. The Army Roll of Honour has moved his birthplace and residence into Suffolk. Unfortunately that is all we know about him unless a relative can come forward.
His regiment (we do not know which battalion), after evacuation from Dunkirk, was re-training and re-equipping in UK.



Stanley Flack is buried in Bottisham Cemetery, grave 4:385
